Research
My research focuses on the study of the modes of action of biologically active natural products. Natural products are considered a unique tool for regulating biological events, due to their structural diversity and biocompatibility. My group works on the identification of the cellular targets of natural products (and synthetic analogues thereof) and elucidation of their modes of action, which are expected to benefit the understanding of the development of diseases such as cancer and the discovery of drug leads. We aim to exploit biologically underappreciated natural products to explore biologically important problems from a non-conventional perspective.
