ResumeHaitao Zhao, Ph.D. in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems, is currently a professor and Ph.D. supervisor at East China University of Science and Technology. He primarily teaches graduate courses such as Pattern Recognition, undergraduate courses including Pattern Recognition and Statistical Learning, Machine Learning and Data Mining, and international student courses like Pattern Recognition. He has made several academic visits to institutions such as the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Boston University in the United States. Professor Zhao has led and participated in numerous projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program, Huawei's Flagship Program, the 863 Program, Shanghai Development and Reform Commission's Technology Projects. He has published over 100 academic papers, authored one academic monograph, and holds eight national invention patents. Since the beginning of his career, Professor Zhao has been dedicated to teaching and research in the fields of pattern recognition, machine learning, and computer vision.
