Resume

Zhang Jinlong, a professor and doctoral supervisor, was elected as an academician of the European Academy of Sciences in 2019. He received B.S. degree in photosensitive materials at ECUST in July 1985 and served as a technician at the Photosensitive Institute of Wuxi Film Reel Factory in Jiangsu Province from July 1985 to August 1988. He received his Ph.D. in fine chemical engineering at ECUST in July 1993. He was promoted to associate professor in August 1995 and served as a specially appointed researcher (JSPS) at Osaka Prefectural University in Japan from October 1996 to October 2000. He was promoted to professor in November 2000 and was employed as a doctoral supervisor in March 2001. He served as the deputy director of the Fine Chemical Engineering Institute from July 2001 to October 2006 and as the deputy dean of the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering of East China University of Science and Technology from October 2006 to March 2016 (during which he served as the dean of the School of Materials and Chemistry of Guizhou Normal University from October 2008 to September 2011). He was employed as a specially appointed professor of the Huixian Scholar of East China University of Science and Technology in October 2019 and served as the director of the Shanghai Multi-media Environmental Catalysis and Resource Utilization Engineering Technology Research Center since July 2022.

As the first completor, he won the first prize of the Shanghai Natural Science Award in 2017, the second prize of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology National Defense Science and Technology Progress Award in 2011, the first prize of the China National Nuclear Corporation Science and Technology Award in 2011, and the second prize of the Science and Technology Award of the National Institute of Nuclear and Physical Engineering in 2021. In 2005, he was nominated for the second prize of the National Science and Technology Award by the Ministry of Education and won the third prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award in 2005.

In recent years, he has presided over and undertaken several national key research projects of the National Natural Science Foundation in China. Such as research on the application of metal nanoparticle-modified organometallic frameworks in photocatalytic CO2 reduction, development of new materials for solar energy utilization to produce clean energy, design and preparation of efficient photocatalytic hydrogen production materials etc.
